Kevin Gordon

Louisiana-born singer-songwriter and guitarist Kevin Gordon writes songs that combine a poet's eye for detail with a true music fan's understanding of American popular music's deep roots. He mines a deep vein of Roots rock styles -- Rockabilly, country, blues and Soul -- to get across his pithy, story-like songs. Gordon has a weathered baritone voice, and his songs crackle with twanging, sliding guitar energy. He's collaborated with a virtual who's who of singer-songwriter-friendly Americana enablers, from E Street Band bassist and record producer Garry Tallent to noted Nashville outsider R.S. Field, and he gives the definite impression that he'll be around for awhile.
