For the kiddies, the Kidz Bop series is a means of claiming massive chunks of pop turf as their own. The ethos of Kidz Bop may be EveryKid, but dang, these are some talented little cherubs, capable of doing impressions of today's biggest stars that are almost better and more real than the originals. For grownups, then, this kiddie drag can show us how truly imitable pop "iconoclasts" are -- and how silly (yet joyfully so) their sometimes self-important songs can be.
