BiographyAndreas Kleerup is a Stockholm-based producer and songwriter whose style carries classic Swedish pop into a dizzying, electronic future. When the Swedish singer Robyn went to the top of the U.K. charts with 2007's "With Every Heartbeat," it was Kleerup that provided the track's irresistible electro-disco pulse, and he wrote and produced Cyndi Lauper's "Lay Me Down" the following year. Robyn, Lykke Li, Marit Bergman and even Neneh Cherry's little sister Titiyo provide breathy, '80s-inspired vocals on Kleerup's self-titled debut, but songs like the plaintive "Misery" and the wistful, instrumental "The End" prove him equally capable in a diva-free zone.
