This young band out of Guamuchil, Sinaloa has quickly made a name for itself. A song like "Pepo" doesn't speak openly about its narrator's profession, but the hints add up: Pepo speaks of guarding his "terreno," asserting repeatedly that he's a humble man who "comes from below" and is guided by the Virgin -- a sure sign the guy is up to no good. The group doesn't really bother with love songs; the closest they get is "Mi Cuerno (Kalashnikova)" -- a tribute to the Russian-made machine gun of choice.
