Les Paul's chillingly precise guitar playing is the main draw on this mid-'60s collection of his and Mary Ford's less successful outtakes and singles -- although Ford's narcotic vocal on "Am I Blue" is almost as inviting. Sometimes the tracks bound into elaborate schmaltz, but Paul's unnerving skill is almost paralyzing to hear.
