The beats don't hit the walls of the dancehall much harder than when Lexxus takes the stage, and his raps share a raw feel with the bare-bones music that surrounds them. If Shabba Ranks scaled back his production values and made his music all about the thrust of the rhythm, they'd sound like Lexxus' odes to simplicity.
