Sisterworld isn't necessarily lush, but it does find Liars descending into a static-caked fog that is subtly symphonic and all too gothic. "I dragged her body to the parking lot," croaks Angus Andrew on the opener "Scissor." Dude sounds like a cross between Nick Cave and Scott Walker after 48 hours of bad thoughts and no sleep.
