For their sixth studio effort, Lifehouse took a different approach: never actually coming off the road to record. Instead, they made the album between tour dates, giving the disc a more frenetic feel. The album opener is a retro rocker, followed by "Between the Raindrops," which features Natasha Bedingfield. They also welcome Peter Frampton on a track. Fame found this band early, and they've spent more than a decade catching up. On Almeria there's a lot of experimentation as the band continues to figure out who they want to be. It doesn't always work, but when it does it's a whole lot of fun.
