Norwegian disco savant Hans-Peter Lindstrom is often linked to "Balearic" disco thanks to his slow tempos and lush textures, but on Where You Go I Go Too, he goes Aurora Borealic. Must be something to do with those long winter nights in Oslo, but these three epic tracks -- 10, 16 and 29 minutes long -- unfurl like streaks of iridescent color across the sky. Terrestrial references include Jan Hammer and Jean-Michel Jarre, whose gooey analog synths and thrumming grooves inform Lindstrom's sense of splash and shudder. Overwhelming in the best way, it's an open channel to the sublime.
