Supernova, Left Eye's final release before her untimely 2002 death, never saw the light of day in the United States. Unfortunately, Eye Legacy extracts the vocals from those sessions and retrofits them on modern beats with the help of Missy Elliott, Bobby Valentino and Lil Mama. Left Eye's punchy flow and introspective lyrics remain singular, but the production is largely generic, and this feels half-hearted, boorish and completely unnecessary.
