Listening to British sensation Little Boots without positioning her smack dab in the middle of a synth-pop, '80s-retro-meets-Eurodisco trend is a difficult task. Her much buzzed about debut echoes fellow electro-disco divas like Robyn, La Roux, even Lady Gaga (and in a totally different dance-pop direction, "Mathematics" even seems to nod towards Britney Spears' "Piece of Me"). So what, if anything, sets this ice queen apart from the sleek, chic crowd? A sweeter, more lyrical voice, for one, and the occasional diversion into saucier ("Meddle") and more cabaret-style ("Ghost") terrain.
