Label: 429 Records
After chief songwriter Lowell George died in 1979, Little Feat morphed into a live act. Predictably, the group rarely enters the studio to record new material. Join the Band is no different, although there is a special twist. Celebrating George's work, the Feats have invited a bunch of friends to play lead singer, including Chris Robinson and Emmylou Harris. Yet it's George's daughter Inara who steals the show with a perfect rendition of "Trouble," one of her father's most touching tunes.
