This great overview of Price's crossover R&B focuses on the recordings he did for ABC Paramount in the late 1950s. Though not as rough and rowdy as his earlier Specialty sides, there's still plenty of soul piping through "Lawdy Miss Clawdy" and "Three Little Pigs." The hopped-up version of "Stagger Lee" showcases his forceful yet smooth delivery.
