Hey country music fans, does Lori McKenna's wistful country pop sound familiar to your ears? It could be on account of the fact that Faith Hill recorded three of McKenna's songs on her 2005 album Fireflies. McKenna doesn't revisit any of those tunes on her fifth album. Instead, Unglamorous stands strong on the strength of its own songs, especially the down-to-earth (but still romantic) title track. "Drinkin' Problem" boasts some stellar harmonies courtesy of Tim McGraw, and Hill lends vocals on the beautifully melancholic "Falter."
