When you've been in the game as long as Los Huracanes, you could just show up. But this family band still attacks their craft, well, "como un huracan." All right, it's a pretty contented, easy-going hurricane, but it's precipitated with hopscotch percussion, homey accordions and so many oy-oy-ooooeeeees. That's not to say it lacks vivacity: Amid the stately waltzes and polkas, cuts like "La Viuda Margarita" buzz at a nice clip and the swishing cumbia track "A Tus Pies" even tries out studio trickery. When two rich male voices soar in harmony, as on "El Enyerbado," you'll feel right at home.
