Biography

A thoughtful, finessed pianist who avoids overplaying and gets a clean, crisp sound out of the instrument, Arriale is able to keep her harmonically inventive work on a very listener-friendly level. She favors the trio format, and has developed a strong rapport with drummer Steve Davis, whose flexible yet never too wayward rhythms are a fine match for the pianist.
