With what seems like his 20th posthumous release, Mac Dre is quickly becoming the new Tupac. Unfortunately, Dre's verses are scarce, and much of Uncut relies upon guest spots. Opening track "Mac Dre" is a fitting elegy from Cognito, while Mistah F.A.B. lends a hand with the club jam "Stop and Listen" and Keak Da Sneak growls over the echoing synths of "Sizzlin' (Remix)." The problem is that most of the guests seem too reverential, and the album rarely manages to replicate the freewheeling party vibe that was Dre's bread and butter. Still, it's always nice to hear new tracks by the King.
