Biography
With singers like Cristina Branco and Mariza reviving Portugal's traditional music, the fado, for a younger audience, you might think the field would be too crowded for another voice. It's not. Mafalda Arnauth's delivery is as pleasing as her fellow fadistas' - and she composes as well! Arnauth's third album, 2003's "Encantamento," made it onto a lot of world music "Best of" lists.
