Biography
Spain's reigning queen of hip-hop, Mala Rodriguez's low-key rapping and defiant attitude have made her a hero to Latin audiences. She released her first album on Universal in 2002, and her off-hand delivery and filthy funk backing made her an instant success. If you listen closely, you can even hear strains of flamenco-style singing in songs like 2004's "La Nina."
