Biography

Mammoth Volume make Fu Manchu sound like Third Eye Blind. If there was ever built an amplifier that sounded louder and cooler in tone than Orange, this band have it within their hessian possession. Unlike many of the stoner rock bands of the 1990s, Mammoth Volume are more than just a Black Sabbath jukebox. Lazy vocal harmonies effortlessly soar over crumbling, tube burning, guitar distortion and a heavy rhythm section that blows away the bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher. Another quality that puts Mammoth Volume bushels ahead of other resin scrapers is the fact that they can write great songs.
