Last time out, Margot & The Nuclear So and So's confused their potential fan base by putting out two slightly different albums with slightly different titles (2008's Animal and Not Animal). On Buzzard, the band keeps its hook-laden indie pop, off-center song changes and surreal lyrics, but the loss of two musicians results in more guitar punch. Richard Edwards' songs remain fresh and fun, including crunchy rocker "Your Lower Back" and goofy ballad "Tiny Vampire Robot."
