Released:
Label: Universal (Uc)
For some odd reason Beneath These Fireworks, Nathanson's sole major-label effort, sank without a trace when released in 2003. Tracks like "Suspended," "Curve of the Earth" and "Little Victories" reveal an adult-alternative artist with a firm understanding of folk-based confessionals and pop-song craftsmanship. Maybe it's Nathan's underlying melancholy that has prevented him from matching Jack Johnson and John Mayer in terms of commercial success. Regardless, the guy is definitely talented.
