Maura O'Connell

An Irish interloper in Nashville's xenophobic country music cabal, O'Connell is often passed over as one of the finest female performers in the field. O'Connell got her start in Celtic Folk band De Dannon, but upon moving to Nashville she began exploring Bluegrass and country avenues in her own characteristically untraditional way.
