Maureen McCormick (aka Marcia Brady) plays New Traditional country music. It actually makes a lot of sense if you're familiar with later episodes of The Brady Bunch, in which Marcia sang with her siblings on variety shows. She was able to show off her impressive inflections in the episode when she and Florence Henderson (who played mother Carol Brady) dressed up like hobos and sang together. Although much has changed since those astro-turfed backyard days, McCormick has a sweet voice that has aged like wine during the last couple decades. Her country music is catchy and heartwarming (it also manages to shy away from anything Shania- or Garth-sounding). Although her vocals traverse into twang-toned territories now and again, the soaring melodies and sailing harmonies set against a rich backline make her music more memorable than even the director's cut of the "Hey you guys...Ow, my nose!" episode with outtakes of McCormick beating Oliver (Robbie Rist, who currently plays in a band called Wonderboy) within an inch of his life.
