After debuting with "Rap Will Never Die" back in '86, MC Shy D signed to Luke Records and released several successful albums, starting with Comin' Correct In 88. A master of the party-rap/booty-bass scene coming out of Miami, many of Shy D's tracks are still found on assorted Miami Bass compilations today. His hits include "Bust This," "Shake It," and "I Gotta Be Tough." In 1994 he was awarded nearly $700,000 in back royalties from Luther Campbell. He released a greatest hits collection in '98.
