The title of Meg & Dia's sophomore album reads like a road map, as if the sister act is pointing out the different stylistic places they went. Here, on "What If," we have the Warped pop-punk their debut was steeped in (with hints of Hannah Montana). And over here on "Inside My Head," they take up the Fueled by Ramen stable's tendencies towards overpronunciation and high drama. We jump over here on "Going Away" to Jason Mraz-style whimsi-pop. From a lesser band, such eclecticism might sound like trend-jockeying, but Meg & Dia have the poise to make each style their own.
