Mercyful Fate

Led by the immortal King Diamond and his unmistakable operatic vocals since the early '80s, Mercyful Fate have been one of the most influential bands in metal's history. Their elaborate metal compositions, shrouded in the mystique of the occult, inspired much of Black Metal's focus south of heaven.
