Metro Station

Metro Station by Metro Station
Released: Sep 2007
Label: RED INK
Metro Station's debut makes us wonder if these boys ever just chill out and, like, play video games. Judging by this squirmy puppy of an album, they spend most of their time snorting Pixy Stix (is that still the preferred form of kiddie crack?) while in feverish pursuit of new goo to smash their hair down with. Every sensation -- frustration, regret, horniness -- is filtered through hyper dance beats and retro-chintzy keyboards that Tiffany would've given the cover of Teen for. Check out "Wish We Were Older," their neo-new wave take on Tiff's version of "I Think We're Alone Now."
