Although pianist and vocal stylist Michael Feinstein's 2008 homage to Sinatra had its moments, his second attempt at capturing Blue Eyes' spirit is conceptually less thought out. Feinstein is cocksure and dynamic and his syrupy croon is right on, but the tune selection is scattered and the glut of brassy, big band rhumba sometimes comes off as showy and soulless. So while a hard swinging medley like "Luck Be A Lady/All I Need Is The Girl" will thrill Feinstein's fans with its sparkling energy, Sinatra devotees will likely be nonplussed.
