On his fourth solo LP, the ex-Monkee continues cranking out cosmic country rock. Like Gram Parsons, he got Ronn Tutt and the legendary James Burton (from Elvis Presley's band) in the studio, and he put Red Rhodes on the pedal steel. The songs include some straightforward covers, but on "Tumbling Tumbleweeds" Nesmith brings a lazy, sun-flared psychedelia to the table.
