Biography

Since the '60s, Mainieri has been an adventurous and forward-looking vibraphone player who was instrumental in forming the seminal Fusion band Steps Ahead. His music is fiery, not without a touch of Zappa, and seems to always feature the hottest New York City jazz musicians.
