Fox is an extraordinary Hard Bop guitarist whose playing, while always her own, shows the marks of George Benson and Wes Montgomery. But Fox keeps the overall feeling closer to the Swing-meets-Bop style of Barney Kessel, which she fries up with a big greasy gob of frenetic Funk.
