Mindy McCready

South Florida native McCready is well on her way to following Faith Hill and Shania Twain down the primrose path of country-to-crossover success. A powerful voice and no small amount of wholesome sex appeal helped take her first album to the charts, where it went gold. Each of her subsequent records has well surpassed its predecessor. Although she doesn't write any of her own material, McCready seems to have an affinity for some of the more interesting writers in Nashville, including folks such as Kim Richey.
