Any Moby Grape "best of" needs to include the band's entire debut -- it's one of rock's great cult albums. Unfortunately, Listen My Friends! contains just six of its 13 cuts. That said, this disc does a great job of disproving a myth long held by critics â that is, Moby Grape stunk up the joint after that first album. This simply isn't true. Check out the psychedelic madness of "Seeing," the folksy nihilism in "Going Nowhere," and the Nashville vibes emanating from "Changes, Circles Spinning."
