Destroyed (Deluxe Edition)
Released: May 2011
An unusual sort of tour diary, Moby's Destroyed was recorded in the interstices of the peripatetic musician's life, pieced together in hotel rooms with the last concert ringing in his ears and the streets dark and empty outside. He clearly let his imagination run free: the results range from shoegazing electro-pop to melodic techno in the vein of early Aphex Twin, while his sensitive side shines through on the sweet, female-fronted "The Low Hum" and "Rockets." Brian Eno's influence is everywhere, from the ambient sketches to "The Day," an obvious nod to Another Green World.
