Biography

Under the guidance of founder Mike Marshall, a frequent collaborator with David Grisman, the Modern Mandolin Quartet plays instrumental music with a strong preference for Brazilian-style songs. There are actually a number of different types of mandolins -- including mandocin and mandolla -- and MMQ play them all.
