BiographyAfter Soda Stereo, one of Argentina's greatest rock bands, broke up, drummer and band cofounder Charly Alberti turned to his other passion: technology. He founded an Argentinean tech company dedicated to promoting Apple products in the country, and in 1998 he invented "i-time" -- an Internet-based standard for telling time. But a certified rocker like Alberti couldn't spend the rest of his life geeking out, and after performing in the 2003 MTV Latin American Video Awards, he returned to Argentina and teamed up with his brother Andres in 2005 to create Mole. The group's hard-rock sound owes a debt to international alternative rock of the last several decades, and it earned the group a Gardel award for Best Album by a New Rock Band in 2008.
