Biography

Moms Mabley may have sounded liked a gruff, ancient grandmother, but her bawdy material placed her in the Redd Foxx chitlin-comedy genre. Although her material hasn't aged half as well as that of Foxx, Mabley was nevertheless a hot female comic during the '50s and '60s.
