Biography
Moodswings are a duo comprising Grant Showbiz (who produced records for the Smiths and Billy Bragg) and JFT "Fred" Hood. Together they dabble mostly in shades of ambient, mixing in a little pop, trance, early rave, world and new age along the way. Their debut, 1992's Moodfood, contained the alt radio hit, "Spiritual High," featuring the Pretenders' Chrissie Hynde on vocals. Fans waited five years for a follow-up, 1997's Psychedelicatessen, and yet another few years for their third recording, 2002's Horizontal, which made good use of Showbiz's Smiths connection: Johnny Marr played guitar on the album.
