Another Perfect Day
Released: Jan 1983
Their first following the departure of Fast Eddie, Another Perfect Day gets a bad rep thanks to the clean and melodic style of replacement guitarist Brian "Robbo" Robertson, formerly of Thin Lizzy. Longer songs and some decidedly non-Motörhead moves (check "One Track Mind" and, especially, the intros to "Dancing on Your Grave" and the title cut) contributed to longtime fans not exactly embracing the album in 1983. You can practically hear Lemmy and Philthy Animal thinking, "We need to get rid of this guy" whenever Robertson's overly reverbed, tasteful guitar floats in. Fun.
