Produced by guitarist Eddie Clark, Iron Fist has been cited by Lemmy himself as one of their weaker efforts. The recording is considerably less raw than any of the group's preceding albums, and the corny "I'm the Doctor" may not be Lemmy's finest moment as a lyricist. But diehards will no doubt find reasons to crank this one up -- the classic title cut, for starters. "Sex and Outrage" manages to deliver Motörhead's perfect prescription of no-frills guitar-bass-drums gut-punch and an inescapably catchy chorus. Possible best Lemmy lyric ever: "America: hard to spell."
