With indie rock pedigrees and electro dancefloors wrapped around their little fingers, MSTRKRFT cop a thuggish swagger on this follow-up to 2006's The Looks. The duo turns to the likes of E-40 and Ghostface Killah to front headbanging tracks bristling with squealing synths and pile-driving drums. Despite the invocation to "Bounce" (the first single, featuring N.O.R.E.), MSTRKRFT's club vision is more about walloping heads than winding waistlines, channeling jacking house via rap-rock's mosh-pit. This record screams "loud" at any volume.
