Biography
These three childhood friends hit pay dirt in 1983 when their original composition "Local Boys" won a songwriting contest and quickly became a state-wide hit, staying at No. 1 in the charts for weeks. The teens quickly released a record by the same name, which featured a few originals and a bunch of cheeky covers of songs like "Stray Cat Strut" and "Rum 'n Coca-Cola." The group disbanded not long after that release, but they got back together in the 1990s and have released a string of albums.
