by Nancy Wilson
Released: Jan 1967
Label: Blue Note Records
One of Wilson's weaker 1960s albums, Lush Life draws too much inspiration from mod-era Streisand (the songs all build to eruptive finales). There are a few standout tracks, however, including the more relaxed "River Shallow," "Sunny," and the title track, which features a smart Billy May arrangement.
