Adderley discovered Wilson singing in a club, so this collaboration makes perfect sense. Wilson's readings of "Save Your Love For Me" (her first - and best -- hit single), "The Masquerade is Over," and "Never Will I Marry" were so soul-deep that this became one of those rare times when even jazz purists preferred the vocal cuts to the instrumental Hard Bop tracks.
