Biography
A virtuoso accordion player, Narciso Martinez was an integral figure in the development of the Tejano conjunto sound -- but he also performed Cajun music as Louisiana Pete and Polish music as Polski Kwartet. He recorded his first song, "La Chicharronera," in 1936, the first of many hits in his long career.
