A one-teen-band with a precious name and his own imprint called Loveways? Things only get cuter from there on NSN's debut: accordions, Simon & Garfunkel gestures and over-enunciated, overly clever lyrics abound. As Never himself says, "Everything you do is super-duper cute and I can't stand it," a statement so dead-on it's got to be self-referential. The entire album balances charmingly between tongue-in-cheek and punch-in-face cutesiness, winning you over despite (or perhaps because) of tracks like "I Love You 5," which is seriously Sesame Street-esque. And we can't get enough.
