Nighthawks

About Nighthawks

This Washington D.C. area quartet has been playing for decades. The band built its career playing hard driving Chicago Blues, Rockabilly and soul-inflected rock 'n' roll, fronted by tattooed harmonica player Mark Wenner and the incendiary guitar player Jimmy Thackery. The band developed a worldwide reputation as an unbeatable club band, maintaining a brutal touring schedule in the U.S., Europe and Japan. Thackery left the band to pursue a solo career in the late '80s, but Wenner, a lifer with a powerful jones for the road, is still at it 150 nights a year.
