Obie Trice doesn't mess around with bullet point bravado. Rather, the Detroit emcee's rhymes are multifaceted, richly detailed and humanistic. The opening track, "Wake Up," revels in the singer's blue-collar roots, and sets the contemplative tone for the rest of the album. Meanwhile, "Cry Now" and "Snitch" showcase the rapper's dazzling wordplay, which is second only to that of his boss, Eminem. And while Obie's technical acumen will win him the hearts and minds of hip-hop nerds, it's the devilish pop of "Jamaican Girl" and "Everywhere I Go" that will endear him to mainstream audiences.
