Of Montreal's 10th album keeps the multi-tracked, multi-genre, multi-everything train rolling at full-speed wackiness. But off the rails Kevin Barnes is not... quite. Beneath that flamboyant falsetto, sing-talk jabber ("Our Riotous Defects" is most entertaining) and sex talk (lots of it) is a man just working out his demons (most overtly on "Godly Intersex"). He's a gonzo diarist who's as open to sharing his soul as he is his vast music tastes -- psych-pop, funk, soul and R&B reign supreme on False Priest. Even Janelle Monae and Solange Knowles make appearances.
